This makes sense and I understand this. My main concern here is that consumers are often not aware and have different expectations.

Also, I see this as another trick by the airlines to increase their earnings from ancillary revenue. Which is unfair towards the customer.

I believe the aviation industry is in a constant change from perfect Service to lowest prices.
From the very beginning where a Pilot was basically a hero and flying was a very exclusive to nowerdays super low price carriers. The shift to super cheap over service and comfort step by step also changes what the customer expects.
When stepping into a one of the known super cheap airlines i’m expecting nothing than beeing charged for everything, basically i’m happy when i made it to the cabin without the airline finding something to charge me on.
I think it’s just what the broader mass wants and is a natural development in aviation.
